Going 'Green'

As a renovation and restoration specialist, Grunley Construction’s portfolio, which includes restorations and modernization projects in the majority of the Federal Government’s historic buildings in Washington, D.C., demonstrates our commitment to preserving the resources, history, and national treasures we have been entrusted with since Mr. Martin Grunley first opened his first company over 50 years ago. 

 Additionally, with the advent of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Rating System established by the US Green Building Council  (USBGC) (put in link to their site) in the early 90s we have committed ourselves to putting all of our personnel through the LEED Accredited Professional training and accreditation program and have developed our corporate policy and procedure manual for implementing LEED and other green building practices on all of our projects. 

 Currently we have several projects under construction that are registered to receive certification upon completion and others that have or will be designed and constructed in accordance with LEED for Silver Standards.
